When did you graduate?
"I graduated in the summer of 2013 from Medway School of Pharmacy with First Class honours in Master of Pharmacy."
Where is your pre-reg?
"I am currently undertaking my pre-registration training at Kings College Hospital NHS foundation trust; one of the major teaching hospitals in London."
What are you doing now?
"I am currently coming to the end of my pre-registration year at KCH and I am preparing for my upcoming pre-registration exam at the end of June."
Where are you working now or where will you be working?
"I have been offered a band 6 position within the STEP programme starting in September, with Queen Elizabeth as my base hospital. The STEP programme is a collaboration of the three acute NHS Trusts in South East London. Once I have completed my 18 months training at my base site, I get to opportunity complete three specialist placements lasting six month as participating trusts; these include Guys and St Thomas, Kings College Hospital, Lewisham university hospital and Princess Royal University Hospital. This three year programme also integrates the Joint Programmes Board (JPB) diploma in General Pharmacy Practise (DipGPP)."
What are your memories of Medway School of Pharmacy?
"Medway School of Pharmacy was a great place to have completed my undergraduate study. I enjoyed the course outline as it gave a deep insight into the clinical aspects of pharmacy; one the reasons I wanted pursue a career in hospital pharmacy. The lectures were supportive and great at making sessions interactive".
