Research title: Investigating the therapeutic potential of Thymosin B4 to restore podocyte function

My research aims to explore the therapeutic potential of Thymosin B4, a naturally occurring protein that regulates the cell cytoskeleton, to restore podocyte function. Podocyte cells are responsible for the ultrafiltration of the blood into urine in the kidney glomerulus. During disease, podocytes become misshapen and lose their function and I will be determining if Thymosin B4 can reverse this.
