Research title: Characterizing Overactive Bladder (OAB) syndrome, with a view to better diagnostics and treatments
We are trying to identify species of bacteria unique to OAB patients which may be causative. We are also investigating the molecular mechanisms of cytokines and ATP signalling which may lead to the associated symptoms of OAB. With this we would like to design a diagnostic test which can distinguish OAB from other disease states with a vision of treating this common disease.
