Research title: Tim-3 as a signalling receptor expressed by leukaemia cells and potential target for highly specific drug delivery
The project focuses on studies regarding the functional role of the T cell immunoglobulin and mucin domain 3 (Tim-3) and associated proteins in the biological responses of human leukaemia/lymphoma cells and Tim-3 as a potential target for highly-specific delivery of drugs into human leukocytes, possibly using Gold-based nanomaterials as potential drug delivery platforms.
