Alumni Mentoring Event
Nana Ofori-Atta and several other alumni from the Medway School of Pharmacy run the Alumni Association for the School. The MSOP Alumni Association was first created in 2015 and has gone from strength to strength with recent events in January 2018 and February 2019.
This most recent event on 7th September 2019 focussed on the role of mentorship which supports career progression. At the event, alumni mentors met with recent graduates who had been assigned to them following an application process. The event was a great success; there was much discussion on alumni career paths, the challenges of career progression and the pivotal role a mentor can play.
Dr Alison Edwards and Professor Susan Barker were delighted to present information about their own career journeys. This was alongside that of committee members of the Alumni Association including Kirandip Moyo, Nana Offori-Atta, Adenrele Komolafe and Vikesh Kakad.
Nana was delighted with the success of the event. He is looking forward to feedback, both from the mentors and mentees, about this latest initiative from the MSOP Alumni Society.
