Medway student wins top prize for poster presentation

Medway PhD student wins top prize for poster at the British Microcirculation Society Annual Conference

Medway School of Pharmacy PhD student Gary Mabbutt's poster on his research into novel mechanisms of nephrotoxicity won him top prize at the British Microcirculation Society Annual Conference (2014).  Gary’s poster presentation of his research into novel mechanisms of nephrotoxicity, associated with the long-term use of lithium compounds in the treatment of bipolar disorder and manic depression, won him a cash prize and the associated recognition duly deserved for all his hard work in the first 6 months of his 3-year PhD.

Gary's PhD research is supervised by Dr Claire Peppiatt-Wildman, Dr Scott Wildman, and Drs Mike Delaney and Chris Farmer (Kent and Canterbury Hospital).
