Information for private candidates and offer holders who will not be receiving grades due to Covid-19

Understandably, we have been receiving many queries from applicants who have been studying their A Levels privately or through distance learning this year who are concerned that as they will not be sitting exams this summer, they will not receive calculated grades. We are aware that many of you in this situation are worried that this may affect your potential place on the MPharm or MPharm with Foundation Year programme for which you received an offer.

Please be reassured that we wish to ensure that no offer holders are disadvantaged during this uncontrollable situation.

Update for private candidates with conditional offers – 5th June 2020

As per the correspondence sent to all offer-holders today, if you have received a conditional offer and were due to sit exams this year but will not be receiving assessed grades as you are a private candidate, please contact us now at pharmacyadmissions@kent.ac.uk. Please refer to the e-mail sent today for specific details about what to send us.

We will review your application and interview performance (if you attended a selection day or completed a Skype interview) and will then be in touch with next steps.

Please note that you do not need to take action if:

  • You have no outstanding qualifications necessary for the programme to which you applied and therefore possess an unconditional offer
  • You will be receiving assessed grades from your school/college
