Offer Levels
The MPharm Degree is a four year full-time programme of study. Graduates are required to undertake and pass a pre-registration examination before being permitted to register as a pharmacist in Great Britain.
- All students are required to demonstrate basic literacy and numeracy skills as evidenced by GCSE (grades A-C) in English and Maths.
- 300 UCAS Tariff points, BBB at A2 level (including B in 2 science based subjects, one of which must be Chemistry).
- BTEC Nationals in a science based subject:
- Diploma - Distinction/Distinction/Merit Overall.
- Scottish Highers:
- Higher Level - AABBB, to include grade A in Chemistry plus one other science based subject at grade A.
- Advanced Higher - BBB, to include grade B in Chemistry plus one other science based subject at grade B.
- Irish Leaving Certificate - 5 grade B’s at higher level including B2 in Chemistry and 2 other science based subjects at grade B2.
- International Baccalaureate - An overall score of 32 points (15 at Higher Level), to include ≥ 5 in both Chemistry and one other science based subject.
- Access to Science - 54 credits at level 3, with an overall grade of distinction.
- Greek Apolytirion - 18.1 > 20 in all directional subjects (must include Chemistry and at least one other science based subject). In addition students must have Maths and English @ 16 overall from the Apolytirion.
- Overseas applicants will be assessed on an individual basis based upon the UK Naric equivalent and must have an appropriate English language qualification and equivalent sciences background.
- Alternative English Qualifications:
IELTS at grade 6.5 in all categories
Cambridge English Advanced Certificate at grade C
TOEFL (Internet Based score of 87 or Paper Based score of 575)
- Graduate Entry - applicants possessing a first degree in a relevant subject must have a minimum of a 2:2 classification to be considered. Applicants possessing a minimum of 2:1 classification may be considered for direct entry to stage 2. (Please see details regarding ELQ tuition fees)

Foundation degree in Pharmacy Practice Direct entry to Stage 2
Students who complete the Foundation Degree in Pharmacy Practice may gain entry to MPharm on successful completion of both years of the 2 year foundation degree programme.
