Medway School of Pharmacy truly has a thriving international student body, each year the school welcomes students from every corner of the globe.
As well as welcoming many students each year from throughout the UK and many European countries, the school also has many non-EU students. Students have come from many countries including Africa, India, Mauritius, Canada, China, Iran, and the USA. Further to this the School has now established a Lifelong Learning programme (formerly Erasmus) which allows our students fantastic opportunities to study at other European universities. In return, we welcome students from other EU universities such as Lille II in France.
Our location in the Medway area is also highly beneficial to international students as we are in close proximity to several international airports and Eurostar terminals. Furthermore, it is only a short train journey to London to get access to an even wider range of travel connections.
Pastoral support for students at the Medway School of Pharmacy comes in two forms: personal tutors within the school and centralised support from the University of Kent Student Services department. The Student Services department operates a drop in centre where they cover a range of services including careers guidance, student counselling and support for students with disabilities or specific learning difficulties. Staff are available (by appointment) to give advice on visa related issues.
There are also numerous international societies now registered with the Universities at Medway Students’ Association. These societies provide a great place to meet new friends and to discover the fantastic cultural and social diversity of the Medway campus. Further to this, students at the Medway School of Pharmacy have established their own award winning student association.
