Research
The school has over twenty academic research staff arranged in three primary research groups:
Starting in 2005/2006 the School implemented a five year plan to develop capacity and infrastructure to support and establish a programme of high quality international research.
To achieve this goal, the School has invested £6 million over the period with £3.8 million in building refurbishment and start up costs, £1 million in research scholarships (for 40 PhD students over 4 years) and £1.2 million in research consumables. Now that the programme is firmly established the School is continuing to build on this groundwork to further develop its research capacity with continuing investment in staff, equipment and premises.
The School also holds regular research seminars, a full programme of which is available here.
