UMSA Awards for Pharmacy students

May 2009

At the recent UMSA Societies and Sports Club awards, Pharmacy students scooped numerous awards for their active involvement in the ongoing development of the Medway campus. Each recipient was presented with a handcrafted glass trophy.

Two 3rd year MPharm students, Shama Acharya and Hetal Dattani, were presented with awards for their outstanding contributions. Shama was commended as an ‘outstanding individual’ for her leadership qualities not only as president of the MPSA but also her involvement with the campus student newspaper. Hetal was recognised for her ‘outstanding achievement’ for her role in organisation of ‘The Diya party’ which was undoubtedly the largest cultural event ever seen on the Medway campus to date.

Patrick Moynagh a current 2nd year Mpharm student presented with the award for ‘ Personality of the Year’. Patrick, the current Vice President of the MPSA, was nominated for this award because of his positive attitude and involvement in the founding of many other societies on campus as well as his contribution to MPSA.
