60th annual ISOP-BSBP joint meeting to be held at University of Kent, Canterbury campus

The 60th annual meeting of the International Society of Protistologists will be held jointly with the British Society of Protist Biology at the University of Kent campus, Canterbury from 18-23 July 2010. The meeting will cover a diverse range of topics related to protozoans including ecology, parasitology, biochemistry, physiology, genetics, and evolution. The multidisciplinary attitude to research engendered by this meeting will hopefully result in an unparalleled forum for sharing and integrating a wide spectrum of scientific information on these fascinating and important organisms.
The participants in the meeting will include students, young investigators, and established scientist from diverse backgrounds and both societies enthusiastically support young researchers by offering them the opportunity to present their work. In addition a visit to Down house, the home of Charles Darwin, is included in this meeting.
