Dr Stephen Kelley (Biological Sciences) has recently been awarded a research grant from the Royal Society to study modulation of GABA-A receptors by ethanol and protein kinase C.
Award of Sir Hugh Linstead fellowship

Trudy Thomas (Clinical and Professional Practice) has recently been awarded a Sir Hugh Linstead fellowship to study the effectiveness of a community pharmacy based physical activity counselling service in the adjunctive treatment of mild to moderate depression.

Dr Gurprit Lall (Biological Sciences) is joint first author of a recent publication in Nature on the importance of melanopsin-containing retinal ganglion cells in non-image forming vision (Guler et al 2008, Nature 453: 102-105).
