Award of Sir Hugh Linstead fellowship
October, 2008
Trudy Thomas, Head of Clinical and Professional Practice at the Medway School of Pharmacy, was the recipient of a Sir Hugh Linstead fellowship in 2008 for Pharmacy Practice research. Trudy has been awarded £5000 to study the effectiveness of a community pharmacy based physical activity counselling service in the adjunctive treatment of mild to moderate depression. The award will enable Trudy to look at the implementation of training for pharmacists to support this future service and the acceptability of this service to patients with depression. The research study will be undertaken as part of her PhD within the School.
