My main areas of interests include service innovation, pharmaceutical care and public health; focusing on cardiovascular diseases, diabetes and obesity.  My role as a clinical lecturer has enabled the development of project ideas and successful supervision of 12 final year student projects and current supervision of three student projects to be concluded in February, 2012.  I am a part-time PhD student at the Medway School of Pharmacy. The focus of my PhD is exploring the development and implementation of innovative public health services in community pharmacy. Here, I have undertaken a systematic literature review as well as a pilot study of the use of point of care testing in community pharmacy, with a particular focus on quality assurance of cholesterol testing. My individual and collaborative research activities have led to presentations at conferences and publications.
